Submission: A Letter To Time

Dear time,
It's me, your old pal. You move too fast, you're a bullet of infinite distance and never changing speed. I realized I've been wasting you, wasting you for years. I once hoped you would fly by and take away the long days of 6 years old. I once hoped you'd swoop me away from the troubles, now small. While riding in a car, thinking of you I realized something old, but for me, new. You've swiftly lifted me from boy to man, before my very eyes you've answered my hopes. Now I hope for different things, time. I wish you'd slow down. The changes you've brought are pretty and plenty, but I see you'll cause my skin to sag so very soon. I believe it's something so big to ask, you never did listen, only flew right past. I've known you for so long and know you better everyday, I fear for a time when you fly while I sleep. It's been good catching up, my silent pal, may you be forever unbothered.
Sincerely,
Wild
Thank you "Wild" for the observations about our old friend time... for your sake and mine, let's hope he gets the memo ; )
