Letters To Life.
The Writer

Taylor Grace
I am 17 years old and I love to write. I always have.
An early graduate with too much time for contemplation and complexity, writing allows me to see the inside of my own head in the light of day, clear and visible- something I value greatly as I continue to get older.
For years, I wrote mostly stories and first-person ponderings in journals, never really discovering the power in letters until I turned 16 and gained a boyfriend in the Army. I wrote to him constantly and realized that each time I sealed an envelope, I appreciated him more. None of them ever followed any particular format, but that was part of the wonder. So, I began to look around: what else could I find a deeper appreciation for? What else could I write to or write about that would help me not only gain perspective about it, but about myself as well. The answer? Everything.
Once I started doing that, things opened up in a way they never had before; as if by giving unremarkable things such formal recognition, they allowed me to see what secret beauty and strangeness they keep so plainly hidden.
And so, in an effort to take up some time, and keep the letters coming, I decided to share with others my look into the elusive nature of the mundane.
